History:This Baroque column with a sculpture of the Pieta was created by an unknown artist at the expense of Christof and his wife Margareta Urwan. The column was erected on 3 May 1712 in front of the village of Brančíky near the railway station. Unfortunately, the village of Branciky was one of those that was destroyed during the 2nd half of the 20th century due to lignite mining. So this column with a sculpture of a piteta was moved to its present location before the destruction of the village, where it still serves as a monument to this now defunct village. Unfortunately, sometime during the 4th quarter of the 20th century or the 1st decade of the 21st century, the top statue of the Pieta was lost, and so only the column with its base and inscription is still there today.

Impressions:A simple column with a pedestal, which is unfortunately without a top statue. I missed the column among the trees because of this, so I borrowed the photos.
