History:This Baroque stone cross on a high column with a relief of the Virgin Mary was made by an unknown artist sometime in the 18th century. The cross was erected in a place unknown to me, but according to soupispamatek.com, it could be a cross dating from 1724, which was located in the now defunct village of Kralupy. But this is just my guess. The cross was moved here when villages in the Chomutov region were destroyed during the 2nd half of the 20th century due to lignite mining. Until today the cross has kept its interesting and untypical appearance, it is just a pity that it has not kept the whole inscription, who made the cross and why and when.
