History:This Baroque statue of St. John of Nepomuk was created by an unknown artist sometime in the early 18th century. The statue was erected by the road between Chomutov and Postoloprty near the village of Droužkovice. After the removal of the German population at the end of World War II, the statue was no longer maintained and gradually fell into disrepair. Finally, sometime during the second half of the 20th century, the statue became the target of vandals who wanted to steal it. This caused the statue to be toppled and decapitated. In addition to the head, one palm was stolen. Eventually, however, the statue was saved by a transfer, when in 2004 it was moved and preserved in its present location under the supervision of the academic sculptor and restorer Jaroslav Jelínek.

Impressions:A simple statue of St. John of Nepomuk, which probably escaped its destruction.
