History:The earliest written mention of this family's braiding comes from 1778, when Franz Bartl made his living in this way. We do not know exactly when this family founded this factory, but it is certain that it was at the latest in the first half of the 19th century, as it is already recorded on the cadastral map from 1824 - 1843. The factory was built as a two-storey richly decorated building in the historicist style according to plans by an unknown author. It has been preserved in this form to the present day. Sometime after 1860, the firm began to manufacture rifles and bayonets, and in 1886 the family production was expanded to include pearl braids and handbags. However, we do not know when the local production ceased, but it is certain that it happened at the latest during the nationalisation in 1945. However, this picturesque factory building has been preserved to this day.
