History:Útočiště (German: Zuflucht) is a village located about 1.5 km north of Klášterec nad Ohří. The name of the village is a translation of the German variant Zuflucht, i.e. refuge. In historical sources, the name of the village appears only in its German form (1846 and 1848). The village was founded after the great fire of Klášterec in 1784 and the first written mention of it dates back to 1786, when houses were allocated to the first 34 people. Along with the houses, their inhabitants were given duties, which included spinning cotton for the Klášterec manufactory. The people were not obliged to work, but had to pay a fee of three gold pieces and eighteen kreutzers to the superior as compensation. If any of them did not pay, the authorities could take the house away. The normal administration of the village was carried out by the town clerk. Over time, the number of inhabitants increased and in 1833, 51 people owned a house in the village. The other seven inhabitants without a house of their own had to work 26 days of labour a year, while the others only had to work half that. Some peasants did not get out of the labour even after the abolition of serfdom, and the authorities sued them in 1853. After the abolition of the patrimonial administration in the middle of the 19th century, the village became part of the town of Klášterec nad Ohří, where it belongs to the present day. In the first quarter of the 20th century, the village suffered from a water shortage, which was solved by the capture of springs on the land near Petler. Electricity was introduced to the village in the 1920s, but the inhabitants refused public lighting for fear of increased fees, but the Klášterec town council pushed through its construction under threat of executions. Since 1924 a volunteer fire brigade had been operating in the village and in 1929 the problem of water shortage was again addressed. Other clubs in the village included the Merry Mind Pipe Club, the Socialist Scouts and the Workers' Singing Society. After the end of the Second World War, the original population was displaced and people from the interior were resettled. So while in 1930 there were 345 inhabitants, in 1950 there were 95 inhabitants. According to the 2011 census, there were 273 inhabitants.
