History:Originally, there was a Renaissance burgher house on this site, of which the Renaissance cellars have been preserved to this day. This house was demolished in the mid-19th century and replaced by the current theatre building. The theatre was built according to plans by an unknown author in a richly decorated historicist style. During the 20th century the theatre disappeared and in 1950 it was still a café. In 1973, the building received its last reconstruction and has since fallen into disrepair.
