History:On the site of the chateau originally stood a Renaissance fortress, which was first mentioned in 1623, when it was confiscated from Wilhelm the Elder of Doup for participation in the Estates Revolt and sold to Augustin Schmid of Schmidbach. However, we do not know when this fortress was built. The next owner, Knight Rajský of Dubnice, had an early Baroque chateau with a park built on the site of the fortress in the 1740s. In the first half of the eighteenth century, under the ownership of Countess Therese Pötting, a Baroque reconstruction took place. The Countess bought Soběsuky from the Klebelsberg family and sold it back to them in 1723. Another reconstruction took place in 1771, when the castle was owned by Václav Glaser, a townsman from Kadan. The chateau underwent its last renovation in 1929, when it underwent neo-Baroque modifications. In 1945, the manor passed into the hands of the state farm and the chateau was abandoned and fell into disrepair. At the end of the 1960s, the ceilings of the chateau collapsed, and later part of the southern facade and the northern bay with the staircase to the first floor were destroyed. On the basis of the state of disrepair, the chateau was stripped of its status as a cultural monument in 1987 and demolished in 1990 or shortly before. The conservation status of the chateau park was not lifted until 2013. It was a one-storey building with a rectangular plan and a mansard roof. There were central buttresses on the longer walls. The façade was divided by a cornice with two rows of pilasters. On the ground floor there was a central hall with a vaulted ceiling and lunettes. On the staircase there were two wooden statues of pandurs from the second half of the eighteenth century. There used to be four rooms on the sides of the hall, two of which were decorated with stucco mirrors. The front of the building was decorated with the coat of arms of the Klebelsberg family.
