History:This simple monument was created in memory of the fallen men of World War I in this then village. The memorial was created by an artist unknown to me, probably in the 1920s or 1930s. After the removal of the German population it ceased to be maintained and gradually fell into disrepair. The memorial plaque of this monument was destroyed or stolen at this time. In this dilapidated form, the monument has survived to the present day.
