History:We do not know when the fortress was built, but it is certain that it was built in the Gothic style. The first written mention of this fortress dates back to 1539, when this village was purchased by Sebastian of Veitmile. After 1585, the village belonged to the Mostec manor, which was held by Magdalena of Lobkowice. In this period, the fortress was probably abandoned and decaying, because at the end of the 16th century, when Ladislav the Elder of Lobkowitz sold the local estate to Václav of Strojetice, the fortress is listed as deserted. According to the book Castles, Chateaux and Fortresses in Bohemia, Moravia and Silesia, the fortress gradually disappeared. According to this book, the fortress was located in the village by the pond and the remains of the ramparts have been preserved. According to other sources, the ruined fortress was rebuilt into a Baroque granary in the 18th century, which is part of the local after-service court.
