History:Older German local history publications erroneously mention the existence of the church as early as 1193. In fact, it was built in the 14th century in the Gothic style and served as a parish church until 1580. The oldest part of the church is the foundation and the presbytery. In 1863 it was significantly reconstructed according to plans by an unknown author and acquired a Neo-Romanesque facade. The adjacent cemetery was used for burials from the second half of the sixteenth century until 30 July 1890. After the expulsion of the German population at the end of World War II, the church ceased to be maintained and gradually fell into disrepair. Eventually, however, it was restored in the 1990s or in the first two decades of the 21st century. The single-nave rectangular church is oriented to the east. The west front has a square tower with an atrium on the ground floor. The presbytery is polygonal and vaulted with a cross vault. It opens into the nave by a triumphal arch with cruciform brackets. A rectangular sacristy with a cross vault is attached to the south side of the presbytery. The church furnishings, which date from the second half of the eighteenth century, have not survived.
