History:Already in 1519, King Ludvík Jagellonský allowed the town of Kadani to mine precious metals for 10 years. Several townsmen took advantage of this and founded the mining company Svatá Trinity and started to mine gold there. But as the mining progressed, disputes between the mining company and the Franciscan monastery arose between 1528 and 1531. The pretext for the dispute was that the mine threatened the monastery's well. As a result of this dispute, mining was stopped. It was not until 1601 that mining was resumed by Balthasar Rumpf, who decided to resume gold mining there, but this only led to renewed disputes with the monastery. As a result of this dispute, Bavarian experts were invited and they determined that the vein that the miners were following was a waste vein and that no precious metals were present. Thus the two short adits were definitively closed. The only thing that these two adits prove is that as a result of the mining permits, the townspeople had a tax break, which some of the townspeople decided to take advantage of and formed a mining tax scam during which they had a tax holiday.
