History:The Přísečnice reservoir is a reservoir in the Chomutov district, at an altitude of 732.8 metres, on the plateau of the central Ore Mountains. It has an area of 362 hectares, the average depth is about 50 metres. The highest depth is 57.6 metres. The reservoir is fed by the Přísečnický Brook and the Černá voda Brook, which flows through the intake gallery. The outflow from the dam continues into German territory and flows into the Zschopau. Considerations for the construction of a reservoir emerged in the early 1960s. The reason for this was the industrial nature of the Sub-Krušnohorskie region and the low rainfall in the southern part of the Chomutov district. The lack of water repeatedly led to restrictions on abstraction by large-scale users and town residents. A resolution on the provision of drinking water supply was discussed by the Regional National Committee of the North Bohemian Region and the Ministry of Agriculture in 1961, and from 1963 the construction of the dam was firmly envisaged. In the flooded area stood the old Ore Mountain mining town of Přísečnice, which was demolished between 1973 and 1974. The villages of Dolina, Kotlina and Rusová also had to be demolished due to the establishment of the first protection zone. The construction of a 50-metre high earthen dam began between 1969 and 1970 and the dam was filled in 1976. The dam was designed by Hydroprojekt Prague. The operator is the Ohře River Basin Company in Chomutov.

Impressions:A large dam, which unfortunately I didn't take pictures of, as there was nowhere to park due to the influx of tourists.
