History:The Chapel of Saint Florian is a Roman Catholic chapel dedicated to Saint Florian in Čejkovice in the Chomutov district. The Baroque chapel was built in the western corner of the village square in 1718 according to plans by an unknown author. It has a rectangular plan with a semicircular presbytery. The west front is emphasised by a volute gable with a niche in which stands a statue of the Virgin Mary. In the second niche in the wall of the presbytery there is a statue of St Wenceslas. A small sacristy adjoins the presbytery in the axis of the nave. The façade is divided by pilasters and an intricately shaped cornice. A sanctus tower rises from the roof. The interior is vaulted with a compressed lunette vault. The early twentieth-century neo-Baroque altarpiece uses parts of an older altar. The chapel also contains a pulpit with paintings of St John the Baptist, St John the Evangelist and Jesus with the cross in rocaille frames. The furnishings also include Baroque statues of the Virgin Mary and St. Joseph from the mid-eighteenth century.
