History:This beautiful and very richly decorated Baroque statue of St. John of Nepomuk was created by an unknown artist sometime during the first half of the 19th century at the expense of the Auersperg family, as evidenced by the family coat of arms on the base. After the removal of the German population at the end of World War II, the statue was probably no longer maintained and gradually fell into disrepair. But this is only my guess. Eventually it saw its restoration, which probably took place either in the 1990s or in the first two decades of the 21st century.
