History:The first written mention of the village dates back to 1355, when it was held by Henry of Bílenec, who probably had a fortress built on the site. However, this fortress was first mentioned in 1510, when it was held by Jan of Cítov. Between 1541 and 1556, the fortress was held by Catherine Anne of Chrámec, followed by the Močidlanský family of Močidlan. In 1572 Adam of Štampach acquired the fortress and in 1573 Havel Hrobčický of Hrobčice acquired it. Sometime around this time or at the beginning of the 17th century, the fortress fell into disrepair. In 1618 his son Ladislav sold the fortress to Asman the Elder of Štampach. However, the fortress was confiscated from him for his participation in the Estates Uprising. In 1623, the fortress was purchased from the Royal Chamber by František Clara de Riva, after whom the fortress was held by the Michnas of Vacínov and subsequently by the Kolovrats of the Kraków branch. Sometime during the 17th century, a manor farm was built here. It was in 1738 that Jindřich Auersperk bought the estate and annexed it to the Červený hrádek estate. It was the Auersperk family who built this baroque chateau on the site of the original fortress sometime during the second half of the 18th century. However, the chateau never served as a manor house, but as the residence of the court administrator. The Baroque chateau with classical elements occupied the northern corner of the farmyard, during the construction of which the moat of the older fortress was filled in. It is a rectangular ground-floor building with a gabled roof. The courtyard façade has a slightly projecting bay decorated with a gable with a balustrade with statues of vases and Roman emperors. The balustrade is supported by four pilasters. The main entrance to the castle is located in the centre of the bay and there are oval windows on its sides. The entrance hall of the castle is oval. The park behind the building has disappeared. The gate with a late Gothic gate has been preserved from the farmyard. A huge decline, when many parts of the historic courtyard were lost, occurred during the second half of the 20th century, when the local JZD was located here and the courtyard and the chateau gradually fell into disrepair.
