We return again as Desmond's ancestor, but now as the young Ezio Auditore Da Firenze , who lives with his family in Florence and has no idea that he is descended from an Assassin. But Ezio quickly finds himself in a difficult situation when his brothers and father are killed by the Templars. Only he, his sister and mother survive the family massacre. He goes into hiding at the villa of his uncle Mario, who trains him as an Assassin and helps him understand what the Templars are up to. He spends several years searching all over Tuscany, Florence, Forlì, Rome and Venice for the powerful Templars who are responsible for the murder of his family and the murder of other innocent people. He also tries to prevent them from taking over the world. In this play, too, we find a "fragment of paradise," and after finding it and collecting the precious Pope's staff, Ezio finds his way to the Sistine Chapel. In its catacombs, a hologram of a woman who calls herself Minerva appears to him. She speaks to Ezio, but warns Desmond through him, knowing that Desmond can hear her. She speaks of the Earth's doom that threatens the entire Earth. Since she is talking to Desmond, Ezio has no idea who Desmond is or where Minerva came from. Towards the end of the story, Desmond has to flee from Abstergo and tries to understand Minerva's warning.

Florence was a bastion of trade and influential banking families at the end of the 15th century. Ezio Auditore da Firenze is a member of one of these families, and soon he will have to follow in his father's footsteps and become the head of the family bank. Not that he is much tempted by the prospect of dealing with bank documents in the evenings by candlelight, but he much prefers to jump on the roofs of Florentine houses with his brother Federico. But without wanting to, he soon finds himself having more adventures than he would have liked. His father and brothers are murdered and Ezio vows to avenge their unjust deaths. As it soon turns out, however, it wasn't a simple matter of taking out the competition. Ezio soon learns that his father was a member of the old Asasin community, who have been fighting the powerful Templars for centuries. So now it's up to Ezio to avenge his father and continue his mission... Renaissance is almost a verbatim retelling of the story of Assassin's Creed 2, and that's kind of the book's biggest downside.

UBISOFT has released this intro movie for Assassin's Creed 2. It's a total of three short movies that capture the story of Giovanni Auditor, an assassin for hire. The films deal with what happened before the game even started, in which he then his son Ezio becomes the protagonist. The films are shot with a mix of live action and CGI, which are computer generated scenes.
